IMG-20240514-WA0003~2.jpeg A einsteinii var. elegans has joined the show today. And these two are spluttering on in flower... IMG-20240514-WA0007.jpeg I think they really need a colder winter so they flower in one main flush and cover the plants, rather than over weeks as they are doing this year.

Nice! I think krainziana is supposed to be of horticultural origin? So it does not have to have a formal name for the different forms? I wasn't aware of that, interesting. But the use of forma or varietas could apply to any species, regardless of origin. Generally forma is used where there's only 1...

The parent of these plants was IDed as coming from the Parodia concinna group, but can anyone help with a species ID?

I thought that was a Mediolobivia! Or is that subsumed under Aylostera?
