Just wide enough for two benches and an aisle and then you could stick a piece of polycarb between the two for extra growing space?
Seriously, I have about 18" between mine and a hedge and it's very tight but I can move in there and clean and replace glass ok. 2ft should be a bit more comfortable.

Completely agree with both David and Ralph. Too many keys, especially in books intended for a hobbiest audience seem to pick 30 common species or forms and try and sort them out with as few steps as possible rather than being a technically accurate key that will sort the full range of features withi...
