Re: Opuntia cylindrica cristata minor

The non cristate form is not frost hardy but ok down to 0 to 2 deg C when dry. If that's any help. I lost mine to frost. The cristate variety obviously don't grow very tall at all. Thank you Habanerocat  I'll give mine some extra protection, it's with the rest of the Opuntias at the moment.

Bought a plant from the garden centre in Canterbury a few months back. Been looking for information on it but only coming across websites with people selling it under various names like "Angel wings". DSC09250 (2).JPG I was beginning to think it was a name made up by recent sellers until I...

Re: New Cactus

Thanks everyone. I had a look down your list and I think it's a Pilosocereus menesianus.

Cheers to all

Re: New Cactus

Hi Everyone  Saw this on the wrong shelf at the garden centre so just had to buy it  DSC04535.JPG I think it might be an Oreocereus celsianus? Anyone else got any ideas? There was a similar one on Facebook recently which had no roots. So check for the usual bugs. Thanks for the advice ...

Re: New Cactus

Most of the plant identification requests on the Forum are for Dutch plants bought from garden centres and DIY stores etc. There's probably no more than about 50 different plants grown in large quantities in Holland. Somewhere, back in the distant past, there was a useful link on the Forum to a web...

Yes, first thing I looked for was an identification section. Looked again, still can't see where it's hidden.
