I would say this is an Acanthocalycium just by looking at the areoles, the spines and the position of the flower bud.

I received the Cactus world and seed list yesterday. That's a good thing as I am from Romania, Eastern Europe.
I am a little bit sad as I can't get the wonderfull seeds from that list.

It probably is ferocactus. I took a zoom in and yes, it dosn't look like melocactus.

For me, this is a Melocactus. I had one looking exactly the same.
