I very often have a look at rootballs from house/garden plants too and nobody has ever minded. Just makes sense!

Sweetcorn! :lol: I have a few different coloured top dressings! Lovely pink and white one for pink echeveria for example. Aquarium shops are great!

Hello. First time huernia grower here. Can anyone tell what sort of huernia this is please? It was a gift and came with what I now know as seedpods. Never saw the flowers. Somehow I can't see anyone at the garden centre inspecting the roots of anything on sale! The "plant manager" is a salesman at the end of the day. He hasn't time and unless that retail branch have been choosy about horticultural qualifications of their staff, we're always best to check our...

I have a big congested clump of this plant/s and the flowers are much sparser than last year. I know it needs repotting but where to begin. Put the whole thing into a bigger pot or break up into sections, which it may have started with. It's about 20cm diameter. Any advice please? tempImagec3MMKn.gi...
