Additional note, surface is 1.2m x 0.4m = 0.48m2, so 1 / 0.48 = 2.08

Thanks for the response, Simon. What I didn't mention, is that I've inherited my dad's shelving unit. I've seen Iann's recommendation but what confuses me is the strenght of my dad't initial setup. A little archeological research on my side here, but it's not exactly worth a new thread. I just received this T. geometricus to attempt a rehab, not much to lose except hopes really. Does it look like the discussed "black rot"? It's not soft by any means, so maybe just a systemic fungici...
