Re: Root loss on my Parodia
I couldn’t see anything. I checked the soil thoroughly. I’ve repotted the cactus into a new pot with fresh soil now. Is this the correct procedure to try and regenerate roots? Or should I leave it out of any soil? Not sure what to do for the best. Please can anyone advice me on the best way to do it?

Re: Sterilisation of compost?
I’m going to be sowing a load of seeds next weekend and I just wondered how important it is to have sterilised compost for this. Is it crucial for this or if I don’t can it cause issues ?

The talk tonight was very helpful and has given me a better insight on how to sow seeds. In the talk tonight some people mentioned about the use of chinosol and it’s very hard to find. Is there any other alternatives which can be used instead which is still safe to use and produce results? Many Thank...

Re: Planting cacti seeds
The zoom talk will be very helpful as well. I’ve never done zoom before, is it fairly easy to join in?

Re: Planting cacti seeds
When is the best time of year to plant the seeds? I will be using a propagator in my green house to. Also what fungicide do I use and how often do I apply it?

Re: What are these brown marks?
That’s what I thought initially but I’m not sure what to think now as there are so many different opinions, which I will take on board still.I’ve got a gas heater so I won’t leave it on all the time unless we have a really bad cold snap so I will leave it ticking over on a low setting 24/7.I mainly h...
