I think you might be able to watch it in your Internet browser, but I've got nothing to do with the organization of this event so I can't say for certain.

Re: LED lights

Do you have space for a mini greenhouse in your garden? Harvst makes a couple models that have really small footprints, like 50 x 150 cm or less. I have one on a really small north facing patio and the greenhouse comes with built in LED lights.

Re: Advice on Aztekium valdezii?

I'll keep in mind that 100% pumice might not be great for it. It was probably more to do with the particle size - the pumice I used was rather coarse (fairly uniformly 4 mm granules). Oh, I see! Mine is 0.5-5mm with plenty of small bits, and I also have a < 2mm mineral mix for my smaller mesembs ...

Re: Advice on Aztekium valdezii?

I can definitely avoid overwatering (I grow on 100% pumice which helps...) I transplanted my old Aztekium ritteri into pure pumice, and it did not like it. I have since put it back into a 50-50 mix of my regular compost and pumice, and it is greening up again. Oh that is definitely good to know! I ...

Re: Hello from Germany!

Welcome to the forum at least you will be able to get plants and pots from the good German suppliers Oh yes, I'm very fortunate that Uhlig Kakteen is a relatively short train ride away, and I've mail ordered plants and seeds from a few other sources as well. Though my wallet may disagree on how ...

Re: Advice on Aztekium valdezii?

Thanks, that's really helpful! I can definitely avoid overwatering (I grow on 100% pumice which helps, and I've learned that having mesemb seedlings around satisfies my itch to mist something with the spray bottle)

Advice on Aztekium valdezii?

My local cactus nursery has some beautiful and tiny Aztekium valdezii on own roots for sale. I've been contemplating them for a while but am scared I'll accidentally kill such a tiny and expensive plant.

Any species/genus-specific advice you'd like to share?
