That's something a bit different.

Re: Neohenricia

I find the scent a bit hit and miss on these. Maybe better on warmer days, but I'm not sure it's as simple as that.

Re: Dull, dull, dull

AG11 was on the society seedlist a few years back. This is SB236, ironically listed as var rosei.

I wonder if those Neoporteria flowers fluoresce? They seem very bright compared to the rest of the dull picture.
I don't know if they fluoresce, but sun or shade they have an intensity to the colour. Might be interesting to see in the UV.

Not too tender

Despite the frosts, these plants are determined that summer is coming.

Pesky Thrips

I don't get a lot of Thrips damage, but every year, they seem to sneak into one or two pots.

Re: Neoteny

Only a 7cm pot, so pretty small plants. They haven't had a pampered life, but even pampered ones aren't going to outgrow their welcome.

.............don't grow Euphorbia for their flowers .........
The mini flowers en masse can be very impressive though.
I'd call them interesting rather than impressive on this species. I find it very curious that the spines sometimes decide to be flowers.

Re: Ritter's colour descriptions Solved

RHS "numbers" also have a letter. Even ignoring the letters, the difference between shades 5 and 6 is almost imperceptible. They are shades of yellow, although not the orange-yellow shades I'd have thought would be used for Rebutia rutiliflora. My guess is these numbers are something else.
