I think of A. vallegrabndensis as a rather fine spined plant (with some brown in the spines), with orange-ish flowers. Here is WR274,

While at the Chinese Cactus Conference, I bought a bottle of spray which is supposed to encourage clumping. I sprayed it on a couple of plants I beheaded after the tops went bad, but I have no offsets yet...

I have no idea if this has the same ingredients as the keiki paste, or if it is snake oil...

Another first flowering for me: Opuntia basilaris.

In nature these can get pretty large, but mine is still a small opuntia...
