hi Ian,
many of mine suffered last winter, but I hope to have a few spares soon, and will let you know.
All the best
Ralph

Re: Schlumbergera lutea ssp. bradeyi (typo corrected in title)
I had mine for 2 or 3 years before it really started growing much, but then got a lot faster. I guess it needs to develop a good root system first.

Re: And some more variation ;)
This is my LF1153 - looking just as I would expect for A. oculata. Purple stamens, petals red towards tips with more orange-yellow base, long spined.

Re: File size
For those of you worried about having to learn a new piece of software, you could try this https://imageresizer.com/ where you upload an image by drag and drop, set a target size, and it will resize it and overwrite the original (by default). Easy-Peasy. (I tried it once and it seemed OK, but I woul...

Re: Pachypodium Brevicaule
I keep mine at 15C and water it regularly in winter - not heavily, but enough so that it does not lose its leaves completely. I water it heavily in summer. It seems to like that,, and has flowered. I've managed to keep it for 6 years so far, and it has flowered once; I acquired it as a seedling in 2...

Re: New plant isolation
If most plants are in the greenhouse, you could put new plants on a sunny windowsill in the house for say 3-4 weeks before moving them into the greenhouse if no pests are evident, repotting them at the same time to also check for root bugs. If no pests have appeared by then, you are probably OK (bug...

My 2 year old seedlings are showing signs of getting a bit larger. Haworthias seem desperately slow from seed, compared to most things I grow.

Re: Rebutia and Aylostera flowers
Ian S. I think your A. euanthema is A. ritteri. (I once acquired a plant of A. ritteri as Rebutia euanthema v. andinensis). Here is a picture of a "proper" A. euanthema; it is labelled A. euanthema f. oculata, but apparently oculata is an older name for euanthema, so it really should be ca...
