Re: Journal/Cactusworld/LithopsWorld here, wahey!

I was shocked when I opened my envelope and discovered how much had been wasted over something as utterly trivial as this. It went straight into the re-cycling, except my local authority can't re-cycle brown paper so this will probably end up in a big hole in the ground somewhere. Clearly an ill tho...

Re: Zygosicyos tripartitus flowering

Tina
the mother caudex is quite big about 12cm high and 20cm long by 15cm wide. I over-protected it in the house over winter, but with the cutting I could take the risk of losing it by rougher treatment.I've learned they're a lot tougher than you'd imagine. I think it's a great plant

Re: Some flowers today in the GH Solved

Absolutely lovely Ernie, thanks for showing them. I'd like to know your regime for cultivating the P.Brevicaule, I can never work out if mine is alive or dead until new leaves grow and I don't ever suppose I'll get it to flower. I've been after P bispinosum for a while but can't find any UK supplier...

Re: Tavaresia Angolensis

This group of plants is well known for being difficult. They require min winter temps of about 12C and extremely careful watering at all times. They're not suited to our temperate climate, prefering a dry atmosphere, but many growers here think they're worthwhile when the flowers are produced. There...
