Used to be at Wisley in between the old glasshouses years ago. It really wants to be a small tree so keeping it pollarded contains it - the flowers are on the new growth so it works like that. I feel I should try it again, I have a vacant sunny spot that might work.

No need to wonder - the answers are here! If you search this forum for 'cat litter' you'll see people have been using moler clay - usually spelt with an e - for years.
