Interesting. Your form is atypical. The leaves look shorter and more succulent plus the spike has no, or at least reduced, side branches.

Great word! The biggest weed in my garden - violet - enjoys this method of reproduction and is as much of a nuisance outside in my cacti and succulents as oaxalis is under glass.

I had one that looked very similar to this - it used to seed around all over the place. I may even have it somewhere in the garden. Never had a name for it, though.

That looks quite a bit different to the Hallmark I have.
'Hallmark' has 2-tone orange and yellow flowers. Plain species has yellow. But I don't think that is frutescens, the inflorescence is very sparse in that one.
