Re: Identification

Ciderman, even if it is a good picture straight out of the camera, taking a few pixels off one side will make sure it orientates the correct way. Very strange.

Just an experiment 4mb and 4032×3024. If you tap on the photo you see a downgraded picture that will not expand much. But if you tap onto the transparent writing at the bottom you will get a picture that expands quite a lot.

If you remove a few pixels off one side it will appear in the correct orientation.

Ornithogalum juncifolium

North Touwsberg. 2" pot of tiny delights but as age and decrepitude take hold I think I need plants I can actually see.

Crassula 'Hummel's Sunset'.

Amazing what a bit of sunshine can do. Just a pity that the strong light cannot curb it's tendency to legginess.

Re: Lophophora red/brown lesions

Normally with stuff like this I dig it out and if it is not too deep it will scab over and recover. I might be imagining this but I think our plants sometimes forget to defend themselves, and really damaging them kickstarts the healing process.

The more the merrier Matz.
Derek the plant is now drying out. It seems to be able to survive as a dry stick through summer till I water it in the autumn.

Did I mention the flowers and stem have sticky glandular hairs all over the surface.

That is nice, my Echinocereus all seem to be shades of red or purple.
