Looking at the difference between plants in Harald Jainta's book both of these plants could be Lithops leslei.

Notocactus claviceps

When I purchased this Notocacus claviceps in 1981 it was just under 3 inches tall. It grew and flowered and I was going to give it to the Hollygate Reference Collection but Terry Hewett passed away and the plant stayed where it was It continued to get taller and eventually it fell over so I repotted...
