A photo would help - Trigonus is the only one with yellow flowers. It also flowers from older growth so not from the centre but with a ring of yellow flowers. It's quite distinctive, no other Ario looks like Trigonus.

Re: Help
I'd take them outside and hit them with a semi-gentle jet of water - that'll remove them along with any eggs, wool and sooty mould. A few will be washed into the compost though. Then, spray two days in a row with SB Plant Invigorator.

Re: My book! The Dry Exotic Garden
Still no sign of a delivery date from Amazon, maybe they're still somewhere between China and Folkestone. I see 'dynamic pricing' has hit Amazon and someone is now selling it on Amazon for £48. I doubt if the price will drop again to the £19 that I paid thanks to the tip on the Forum page. Has a ...

Re: My book! The Dry Exotic Garden
Currently out of stock at Amazon, and not known if any more will be available. I assume that means they've sold all the copies that they haven't yet received. Hopefully they'll still receive those that have already been ordered.

Re: Is Cactus Shop still open?
Ralph was at 'Cactus at the Castle' last weekend, he had a nice assortment of plants at good prices. Although the nursery is for sale, nurserymen have to retire sometime, everything is running as normal as far as I know.

Re: My book! The Dry Exotic Garden
Currently No1 best seller in Amazon's 'Ornamental Plant Gardening' chart, and that's before anyone has seen it - looking forward to it arriving and at the cheap price thanks to the Forum.

Re: Handsome coryphantha
Coryphantha Poselgeriana, looks great in Mexico, can't think I've noticed it for sale before. Now I'm starting to see what I could have found if I'd gone to ELK instead of Lullingstone. Next year the dates don't clash.

Re: My book! The Dry Exotic Garden
Maybe the first shipment is aimed at the UK market and there will be a reprint early next year for the European market. Amazon.com shows $43.99 which is about £33 in the US and the same date for next March. This can't all be from the same initial print run.

Re: My book! The Dry Exotic Garden
'Cactus at the Castle' would have been the ideal event for a book launch, sorry to hear the books were still en-route. Amazon reckon they'll have it in another ten days so only missed Lullingstone by a few days, I'm sure they would have sold well there. The number printed seems way too low for a ...

Re: Cactus at the Castle, Lullingstone Castle, Kent 14-15 September 2024
This looks like being the event of the year, the marquees are going to be larger this year, around 30 nurseries - similar number to Stoneleigh but not all the same nurseries. Add in the talks, plant auction, show and the Lullingstone venue and gardens and it's looking good - only three days to go ...
