Re: Beschorneria

Hi Mike,
We grew yuccoides when we lived in Brighton. We had planted it outiside on a very well drained south facing slope and got it to flower but unfortunately it didn't survive one of our more severe winters and since moving inland have not tried it again.

Re: Columnar cacti IDs please

Hi Chris,

This rather slender plant is what we have grown and would continue to call Pilosocereus pentaedrophorus, but check the spelling.

Of course work has been done on this genus and many names sunk without trace.

Like other Pilos it is cold sensitive.

Re: David Kirkbright RIP

So, so sorry to hear of this untimely death. David was such a larger than life figure. He exuded a vitality which it was hard not to be affected by. No microphone was needed by David at any of the major events we was helping with. How many more good men are we to lose and nothing to do with the pand...

Re: Is this a goner?

HI, Did you buy this plant with the three stems already growing together, in which case I suspect that this is three separate seedlings put in a pot together as a lot of wholesalers do now. Also if this is the case then the problem is unlikely to have spread to all three stems. I suspect that in the...

Re: some column Euphorbia idnetification

Hi,

Euphorbia canariensis labels belong to 12, 13, 21, 27 & 42 and one of them is in flower I think.
and I agree that 112 is Euphorbia coerulescens.

Re: International Asclepiad Society closing.

Hi Colin, Unfortunately we do not have that many email addresses for the membership, and so some will have to be sent by snail mail and of course it would be cheaper to simply email to all. I am aware that Alan is Chairman at least for the issue of Asklepios under preparation, but he is seeking a re...

Re: International Asclepiad Society closing.

26.12.2020 Hi All, I too am sorry that this is the situation, i.e. there are very few articles forthcoming, no Editor to prepare the editions, etc. etc. The IAS has been limping along for the last 5 years and this last three issues which in years gone by would have taken one year to publish will hav...

Hi Tishania,

Didn't you receive a reply paid envelope with your CactusWorld? So no stamp required, unless you were trying to save the BCSS some money.
