Yes, I use this and it's very good. similar to the old Tesco cat litter, the granule size is small so I suppose it depends on what you want it for.

I use it for making up a seedling mix and also add it to pumice for a variable particle mix with a good quality John Innes.

Re: Weirdos in flower

Simon. The cristate flowers are not common but they do crop up from time to time. I have found they are more likely to occur on cristate plants but I also had a normal single headed Gymno that regularly had several normal and one cristate flower every year! I'll try a find some of my pics to post.

Re: Tony Morris RIP

Very sad news. A lovely man, and a knowledgeable grower who did so much for the society.

Re: Plant of the month photo plea.

Thanks very much for this, Dave. I am always short of material and having to beg people to contribute, so if there are any other pics you can send along with a few words about them I would be very grateful. I didn't know about your previous offer but will have a look through your posts when need. Th...

Rescue plants saying thank you

Some plants I rescued from a collection. The owner had passed away and a neighbour had tried to save the them but had nowhere to house them. They left them outside in February during some hard frosts but fortunately under some scaffolding so they were still dry. I managed to collect a car load and a...
