Thank you for such good advice Tony. Took a while to remove the leaves but the Stanley knife idea was brilliant - who knew! Plant is out of the pot, very wet, so whole thing drying out a bit before repotting, hopefully in a better mix and definitely a smaller pot. I'll post later when job done!
