First is Crassula Mesembryanthoides, second is Kleinia Nerifoilia.

Re: Spiral Cereus

Fairly easily available, left and right handed screw threads needed to complete the set! They might not turn up at cactus marts etc as they're a bit top-heavy to transport. Once the weather warms up I'll be talking some tip cuttings so I've some better sized plants to sell. Offsets look to be produc...

Re: Animal damage

Sorry to hear this - the worst type of damage at the worst type of year. I didn't realise just how much animal life went over the greenhouse roof until I used summer shading. This showed up no end of footprints, along with marks where they'd slid down the roof. I think cats are the most likely culpr...

Re: Help With Lithops

Placing a plant in an inch of water for 10 mins every 10 days doesn't sound too much to me. I'd normally water plants in 6.5cm pots overhead with a hosepipe once a week in the summer and plants do dry out fast in hot weather.

Re: cactus world

I can't look at the cover now without the seeing image of the teddy bear diving into a cactus!! On the subject of cactus shops, there was one in Brighton a few years ago though I didn't see it. What was probably more interesting was the shop Chuck Hansen had in a Tucson Strip Mall, very few cacti bu...

Re: cactus world

Another Melocactus cover, that's two in a row, presumably it has some connection to something inside?

Re: Succulents today

I've not seen Aeonium 'Kew Marble' before, it looks like a Pachyphytum though there are Aeoniums with quite fleshy leaves. Has it flowered? Is there any more info on this plant and is there a Kew connection.
