Was Craig there? If so, did he look healthy?

Re: Contact details for William's Cacti for BEF pots

Phone or letter are probably your best bet if you can't visit the nursery. The website is still down, so I assume they are still on emergency power.

Re: North West Cactus Mart UPDATE

I dragged myself out of bed at 10:30, had breakfast and went straight back to bed. Quite enough effort for me for today. Two hours on public transport, a packed lunch and talking to people was definitely not on my agenda after the week I had at work. I have too many fast-growing plants already so I ...

Re: Where to look for info. on endemic c&s species?

If the POWO entry has herbarium specimens linked they often have location data on the sheet. The more recent they are the more accurate the location, usually - though some of the old collectors were sometimes very precise. The original papers are very useful, but won't have the extra locations disco...

Re: Where to look for info. on endemic c&s species?

As Davey wrote, easiest with the Cactaceae. Once you have some possibles you can check for each species or genus with POWO: https://powo.science.kew.org/taxon/urn:lsid:ipni.org:names:30000028-2 I may be annoying cactus lovers by calling them areolate purslanes in future  Notes on delimitati...

Re: Pot size and shape for Echinopsis and trichocereus hybrids

I don't grow them myself but I have heard from those who do that they are best planted in the ground as they like to stretch their roots. Though that was in southern Spain, where most were outdoors. So, the bigger the pot (or shared bed) the better.

Everything should be in square pots.
