Re: Sustained conditions to start watering
Hi Al, sorry I didn’t word it well, I was putting my comments to two different messages from Nick and Phil and suggesting a reason that I had heard somewhere for the light watering that he referred to, not that he did himself.

Re: Sustained conditions to start watering
Nick, Is the light watering to give plants time to grow the new fine roots needed to soak up the water? Or have I misheard something? (I’m thinking of echeveria if it makes a difference) Phil_SK, do you know if there is any kind of guide to how long the soil should take to dry out? I have heard some...

Re: Don't forget the On-Line talk on tuesday
I didn’t mean to make you nervous, sorry Ralph, I’m sure you’ll be fine. I did only put it around in the related plant, botany, cactus etc.. sections though. There has been about 200 likes/upvotes so far so more people should have seen it than that. Looking forward to it too, I wish I had started wa...

Re: Group planting haworthia
If I take a photo from above in a few months we might be able to see a difference, it's hard to tell without photos sometimes (Except the 'Reinwardtii' that one just changes colour). I took a few leaf cuttings off the one that is second from bottom, three from the right, it was sold as haworthia 'Su...

Was able to save the space of all these pots by planting them in those two trays.

The other tray potted up with the others. The few ones that don’t seem to like the lights I left in pots so I can move them around

Re: Group planting haworthia
Thanks Ed, The layout isn't the best all in a grid like that, doesn't look very natural but I need to make space for all the seeds haha. I usually water them all together so hopefully it's ok. The next one I do will have a bit more variety in it. Also hope I don't see a mealybug any time soon.
