I hope you don't mind Allan, I think this would be H. "Kotohime'. I think I have that one, and it certainly is quite "chunky" at a little older age, but I'll need to check and confirm this next week.

Wait until you sow some maughanii or sordida... It's <1 cm after 2 years for me... Or maybe it's me?ralphrmartin wrote: ↑Thu May 16, 2024 6:44 pm My 2 year old seedlings are showing signs of getting a bit larger. Haworthias seem desperately slow from seed, compared to most things I grow.

That makes perfect sense, thanks. Maybe I'll just use the mix they are in now, basically a 1:1:1 of larger moler clay, grit and an ericaceous compost.

What's in that mesh pot, Ralph? I'll need to repot some of my epiphytes soon and am thinking about airy hanging baskets, perhaps with dry Sphagnum moss and some bark for larger particles.

Oh, what a display! How much longer do you expect the plants to be in flower, Paul?

Re: Tesco finest ( again)
Yes that was from europarts but the bag they are selling now is different and I don't know if it's the same stuff https://www.eurocarparts.com/search/granules According to the website it is "clay based", which is promising, but also "100% recycled", which I'd be careful about.
