Re: RHS Wisley Glasshouse query

Yeah, I know it is normally open to all visitors. I don't live far from it at all. I was just trying my luck with getting exclusive access.

RHS Wisley Glasshouse query

At the moment, it is closed to the public. Has anyone had any luck getting in with their society membership?

I really want to go in, lovely flowers atm (went last Wednesday) and I want to take photos. Does anyone have contact details for someone who might be able to get me in?

Re: What is wrong with my tephrocactus?

Thanks!

I have just given it a good drink, it'll probably get another one over the next few days if the storms come this way.

What is wrong with my tephrocactus?

The top is growing but the main body is shrinking? Does it need more water
or is it the heat that is causing it?

Re: Lobivia maximilliana caespitosa fruits

Are these fruits edible? I am always on the lookout for edible succulent fruits.

Re: ID needed for these few plants please!

Thanks guys, it had a pink flower so its most likely to be a T. roseiflorus. Someone on FB thought the seedling next to it was T.s chmiedickeanus ssp. klinkerianus or similar. No idea what the tiny white ones are yet. I bought this from ottershaw cacti and he didn't know what was in it.

We will see a photo of the exact same F. pottsii seen on page 87, but taken more than a decade later.
What book was this?

Looks like the right ID. These can be a bit variable in colouring. Could be the result of different lighting conditions in your case.
They look as they look in the photo. It'll be interesting to see their flowers to see if they're different as well.

Bought them from the same place, different colourings in the spines. Different varients?
