Re: Sinningia leucotricha

Scented of what? I love some scented flowers. They are lemon-scented, but only for a short while very early in the morning ! I have a scented Adenium...white flowers with a light jasmine fragrance. I've read that sellovi can take maybe -2 for a very short while...still, I wouldn't want to try it ! ...

Re: Sinningia leucotricha

Tina...thank you  They are usually in a mini terrarium, but I took them out to photograph them ! Pattock...that seller has often offered Sinningia seeds, but some are not labelled (or described) correctly - the photos don't match the seed name, and one is a Paliavana, pretty much a Sinningia ...

Re: Sinningia leucotricha

The leaves are lovely ! I have a few pots of seedlings and they are looking quite fuzzy and silvery already. This seems to be the most common one here in the UK...? Although I don't think Sinningias can really be described as "common" in the UK. I struggled to find any so started growing t...

Re: succulent bonsai

MatDz, I'd leave your Tiny Ding Dongs for the moment, let them develop naturally. If you try to induce branching now you may end up with a somewhat wonky looking stem as they might just decide to keep growing one branch from the top-most node. From experience I've discovered that Adeniums can be a b...

Re: succulent bonsai

MatDz...I'm starting gentle training with some of my younger ones...this one and another are having branch training. If a strong leader forms, I cut it at an appropriate place - keeping in mind where new branches are likely to grow. If you are trying this, cut the branch at an angle - not straight a...

Re: Caudiciforms

I'll have quite a few arabicums, almost 100% germination with those... ! Only a few somalense though at present. These are almost a year old. They are all a bit sleepy at the moment, when they wake up a bit more they will be ready for new homes. Please feel free to send me a message, interested to s...

Re: Caudiciforms

I've been growing Adeniums from seed for years - obesums, arabicums and somalense mainly. I'll have some available fairly soon, germination has been very good so I'll have extras. Might also have a few other caudiciform types, including Petopentia natalensis and Dioscorea elephantipes as they germin...

Re: Adenium obesum Seedlings.

Eric...Adeniums have a bit of a habit of doing whatever they please ! Having said that, starting from around October up until the end of March my somalense will stop growing new leaves and mostly drop any existing ones. My arabicums do their own thing, this is mainly just slowing down and not growin...

Re: Adenium obesum Seedlings.

Rich45s...I use ordinary E27 LED bulbs - the 6500k cold daylight ones, they are around 13W (100W equivalent). The bulbs aren't expensive and are available on Amazon, and will fit an ordinary lamp base. I've never used UV lamps so can't say if they would be any good. Eric...Adeniums don't usually ooz...
