Re: Miniature Lachenalias
I've found the best way to keep them compact is to put them in a small pot, or a generously populated community pot. thanks Astro, this is exactly what i observed. it is an very interesting point of view! It might even not be far away from the wild situation in which starved plants get smaller and ...

Re: Terry Smale
English is not my mother tongue. Nevertheless, i will try. I never met personally Terry, but i know him since, may be 30 years or more. I know, I guess, most of, if not all, what he published on MSGB or other journals. I was inspired by him, his travels and his kindness. He belongs to a first class ...

Am I wrong? You created something very strange, I am curious to see the phenotype of the resulting plants!! ...

Miniature Lachenalias
This is Lachenalia’s flowering time. We all try to keep them nice and compact, with a delicate equilibrium of watering and exposing to strong light as much as we can. Difficult task if we go through cloudy and dull days, in which Lachenalias develop big leaves and elongated inflorescence. At least, ...

Re: January 2021 Namaqualand in my Greenhouse
Bulbines are quite simple to grow, may be not all of species. Even raising from seeds is not that complicate. Bulbines often flower during the first two years (some of then after 5-6 months) and if you have, at least, two plants you can get your own seeds. Given for granted that they are winter grow...
