Quite small for an Orbea, and not like Orbea variegata and co - but more like Orbea gilbertii. Strange they are both in the same genus.

The colour of the fruit makes a nice contrast! I've often wondered how useful the colour of Mammillaria fruit is in identifying the species. There seems to be all manner of subtly different shades.

When making cuttings, I'd cut back to softer growth, rather than keeping woody parts of stems.

I find the few columnar Hildewinterias I have tend to grow more horizontally than vertically, which makes them take up a lot of space. The flowers are really worth it though!

Yes, these can also grow pretty quickly if pricked out early, in my experience.
