Re: Grim (cactus) Reaper!

Here's my other plant a Ritterocereus queretaroensis which has what I thought IS typical cold damage at the base ( white marks) which is why I'm a little concerned with the Pilocereus

Re: Grim (cactus) Reaper!

Hi David I'm glad you mentioned this as one of my columnar's a pilosocereus rosea has some damage & I can't decide what has caused it. I have guessed it's cold damage but it's at the top of the plant ?. It's odd as they have been in the same position for several yrs & are on a top shelf so t...

What do you hope to grow/buy for this yr ?

Hi all While it's still too grey to lurk around in the greenhouse, I have time to think what I'd like to grow/attain for this yr ( buy a tardis greenhouse of course). I still wish to grow a cephalium on a Discocactus & Melocactus, I have the disco's under lights but they are still quite small. d...

Re: Pelecyphora strobiliformis -- A brief history

Hi David

The Pelecyphora strobiliformis are impressive, I don't think I have ever had any viable seed, let alone seedlings but with Pelecyphora asseliformis I have quite a few tiny seedlings but I think I went for the 100 seed pkt from Koehres to ensure I managed a decent No.

Re: Belated Xmas pressie

Hi Tom Beer whilst not essential was an enticement, think he's more worried what I will spend & me chatting up strange men to see their plants:rofl:. Patrick I'm hoping to get more specimen size succulents and there is a lot more variety at ELK, not as many people like my sort of plants ( green ...

Re: Belated Xmas pressie

Hi Dot Derek made some badges which were available at forum meet up, perhaps we can organise a meet up for ELK. Sounds like the guys always meet at the bar anyway so no hardship involved. We should find the thread with photo's from the Wisley visit so you can put faces to names, although not all wil...
