Hi mamuga,
A great website, and excellent publicity for the BCSS. Good luck in recruiting new members and establishing a Madrid branch. Since my branch is in the South of England it is one of those closer to you so you would be most welcome to pop along to our meetings

There are lots of spellings of this (my labels have a z in it too!) but the proper spelling is Notocactus turecekianus (Parodia turecekiana) according to Roberto Keisling's original description in CSJA1995, 67 , 15-19, named for Victor Turecek, Argentina-born school teacher and cactus collector in C...

Re: Website Development
What I want to know is what is the largest image I can upload to the site before it automatically re-sizes which will expand again when clicked on, as your 1000 pixel one does? DaveW Surely, Dave, that is a near impossible question to answer unless you know the exact jpg compression algorithm, the ...

Re: Winter flowers
Hi Liz,
If it's the really small form, I usually call this cv. 'Tom Thumb'. You have some lovely winter flowers.
Here's a photo I took of a larger leaved form of rupestris, benefiting from South African sun in November:
Best wishes, Tony

Re: bcss seed 2012.
Well I got 23 out of 25 with two subs today, so very happy with that. Along with all those from the Mamm Soc and other sources, lots to do too, but they won't get sown until mid-March.
As always, many thanks to the Capels.
