So glad to hear that you have some replacement plants and that you got them via the Forum. There are so many nice people on here. thankyou to whoever it was that sent the plants - you haven't just made Marlon happier - it seems to have made us all feel good.

I usually give my main watering from below in the trays that the pots sit in - but evry so often, between waterings, I spray into the GH with the hose so they get a light wtaering from above. Gets off any dust, cobwebs etc. Must be doing something right as they all seem to be surviving - even flouri...

The flowers on these don't last very long - I have had three flower in the last few days and I nearly missed two of them because I wasn't in the GH in the morning to catch them open. Mind you - they are worth it !!

What an inventive solution to a problem - I will file that away for when any of my Mamms. get big enough to need such support. Thanks Joy.

I only feed twice in the growing season and then only weakly - mine seem to be thriving. Heat and light seem to be what makes the difference. Watering every 10 days or so otherwise.

I really like Copiapoas. I have just bought a large multi-headed one that is practically architectural in structure. I just like the way the aureoles are positioned - they make for such an interesting surface.

The first one might be a Matucana but I couldn't tell you which one.
