under the bench...

Dear ones, I need your advice because some plants are now too bulky to be kept on the bench. My greenhouse faces south and the benches are about one meter deep and about 90 centimeters high.
May I at least cultivate the mammillaries under the front bench?
Thanks for your kind opinion, Ruggero

Re: they are small but they know how to get noticed

My impression is that the opening of these flowers is consequent to a mix of sun and temperature but the latter prevails (keep in mind that I have a 50% white shaded net and the opening of the flowers took place with about 30 ° Celsius ). I have great admiration for the formidable growers who often ...

they are small but they know how to get noticed

In these days the frailea have taken advantage of the clear sky and the great heat.

Re: night and day

Dear MatDz, it is Setiechinopsis mirabilis and blooms only one night with a scent similar to jasmine. For me, it is a graceful flower.

Re: Rebutias & Sulcorebutias

Fantastic collection! Given the experience, might I ask if the plant changes after a major flowering? I have a rebutia which, after having produced an important flowering at the same time, has reduced its volume and is less consistent to the touch. Thanks for the advice and for the great pictures. Re: Greenhouse shading

I have had the same problem for some time (same orientation of the greenhouse) and in particular I agree with the excessive exposure of the gymnocalycium. I live in northern Italy and I am forced to use a shading net to avoid excessive temperatures during the summer, despite the ventilation (behind ...

Re: could I have your help for this plant?

Looking at the descriptions on the web and the plant I seem to be able to say that it is a weingartia multispina. Thanks Fero for having reduced the search field.
