I am still waiting for some seeds from Sweden. Sent late November. I do have given up already. But I could still be surprised. Let's hope it happens not later than early April, right in time for sowing... My seeds from Mats, were posted 16th November, arrived December 29th. Don't give up yet Aiko.

For now, I would say treat them the same as others. It is in maturity that L.optica rubra has a slightly different routine to other Lithops. I just treat it as having a later season, so, it tends to finish drying it's old leaf pair a month or two later then the rest and continues to need a light wat...

Whereabouts are you Rich?

We had it outside for twenty years in Kent, no problems at all.
Been in Lincolnshire for 18 years now a bit more mixed results here, still going but loses more pads in winter, possibly a more exposed location, not really sure why though.
