I've just started potting this year's cactus seedlings on, which is another way to help them - they seem to grow faster once placed into "normal conditions". Anyone else started yet?
Just about to start mine. Was going to at the weekend but didn't get time!

Re: Graptopetalum filiferum Batopilas progress

I hope you manage to keep your P.cuicatenanum - it's stunning when bigger. I got one from Wiebe Bosma. Good news on your filiferum! I've got a few pots that I've issued a similar threat to so hope that works with some of them too! I have got some nice plants coming from the flowering stem you sent ...

Re: Aylostera albipilosa

It reminds me of my Apricot Ice Rebutia, apart from the flower colour! There is an Orange Ice from Southfields too, could it be a very nicely flowering muscula hybrid?

Re: night and day

Can I ask what you're trying to cross it with Phil? I've got some seedlings with a view to trying a few crosses into Echinopsis but not sure whether they will take or not.

Re: Graptopetalum filiferum Batopilas progress

These are the ones not doing as well,

E.purpusorum, E.rosea and P.cuicatenanum
Still in their 4cm pot. Hoping I might have a white purpusorum though in the left hand pot which would be an amazing bonus!
(It's probably not a purpusorum at all but some interloper!)

Re: Rebutia einsteinii

Nice!
It's one of the reasons I have so many in my office! (As well as the free heat and extra space!)

Re: Graptopetalum filiferum Batopilas progress

It'll be interesting to see what happens to them as they grow - they're not getting too much light at the moment.

Re: Graptopetalum filiferum Batopilas progress

Thanks Ed,
The other Graptopetalum I had (rusbyi) are looking ok too but not quite as big.
