Can Agave and Yucca seeds be sown by putting them in some water and then just let them be, as one can do with papery like seeds from bulbs such as Cyrtanthus and Habranthus? Anyone tried that for a few weeks? I've had them germinate in water but I wouldn't leave them in it for too long and any that...

Precocious Agave!
Finally got around to getting my Agave seeds going this year. I put mine into soak overnight before then sowing them in compost but this morning found one has jumped the gun!

Was on eBay and spotted this. Screenshot_20240217-190023.png I was looking at it and wondering if this was a habitat collected plant? It seemed a very big plant to be pictured like this if it had been grown by a hobbyist and for a very cheap price. Other listings look like plants imported from China...
