They do have large orange flowers though as compensation.

There is a possibility that it was originally grown under dwarfing conditions (chemical, lighting) in the nursery and is now growing true to type.

Tina it just sits there all summer looking as if it is dyeing. Then even without water it just bursts into full growth.
From now on it gets as much water as the pot can hold.
