Re: Cactus and Succulent Review

I have something different for you this time, an article on the succulent violas of the high Andes written by John Watson and Anita Flores who are leading experts in these amazing plants. Was looking forward to reading this but cannot see it in the magazine! Did you forget to publish this article o...

Re: Overwintering cacti outside tips

Last year was great, in total darkness and a heat mat, only had a few mealies that I fought off. This year is a different situation with added lights and possibly a heat mat. I just want to ward off frost and elongation

New overwintering set up

Please let me know what you think. Constantly battling for space with my parents 😅. Added small amount of lights for 10 hour days and will add a heat mat underneath to wade off the frost. Hoping that it is cold enough that they don't grow even with the lights on. Might add a bit of insulation around...

I have moved some around cos I had cacti in there that got too big for the tray and disturbed some lithops. I had a ...

Trichocaulon cactiforme and Trichocaulon similis

Hi, I would like to have some more information on these two plants, and why they are the same. They have both been lumped into Larryleachia cactiformis. I found articles on them on plants.jstor.org but locked behind a paywall. These are really fascinating plants, reminiscent of Pseudolithops in my o...

Re: Misidentified Mammillaria

So the flower opened with a lovely red colour but it made it clear it wasn't a murabilis. Any more ideas?
