A couple of years ago I switched all my Stapeliads to cat litter and they did well but I found watering difficult and switched back.

I wonder if that’s what happened to the huge one I used to see at the Oxford show?

All of my outdoor stuff seems ok unlike last year.

Eborispina and nevadensis.

Not covered - they get whatever the weather throws at them. However, the bed is stony and on a slope plus there’s a big lime tree nearby which helps keeps it dry.
Their nearest friend is actually Aloe polyphylla.

I’ve had 2 utahensis growing in a bed outside for nearly 2 years now.

Shows how small a pot you can actually grow plants in.

Clutching and straws comes to mind....
