That looks very like my 'flanaganii' plant. Here is a photo of the flower of my gorgonis from Silverhill seed. The colour is similar but there are subtle shape differences.

My plant has similar flowers. I also used to have a more typical flanaganii. The latter had pale flowers and much more spindly arms than this one. I have a potful of seedlings from presumably a cross between the two.

And yes, it stinks!

I watered everything this morning except the higher altitude plants. In previous summers I have had taproot loss on Sulcorebutia and Eriosyce which I put down to being overgenerous with water in hot weather.
