I have a Gnoma and the stem is more woody and seems really slow growing, I just wondered what the white stem was on yours Ernie, is it the start of a flower?
I also wanted to ask what the soil was for it and also your crassula? I remember you had a really good one before.

Re: March 2021 - Neglected, forlorn
It would be good to see what people do to keep them alive and grow them well. Soil, water, location, temperature, light etc.. I really like the weird crassula but they just want to die

Re: An ageing society
Hi Mat, that paragraph was what I heard from other people. One was referring to people saying stuff without having any knowledge themselves, just unquestionably passing on information. Another said they just didn’t like the type of talk on the forum. A personal example would be when I went to my loc...

Re: Grit
I bought my granite from Derbyshire Aggregates, not too far from Abbey Brook Cactus Nursery. It was called DALTEX Silver and was part of their resin products, they’ve got loads of stuff

Re: Ideal Soil/Substrate Mix
These are the results after soaking for 30 minutes, then drying without a fan or lights, just indoors at room temperature. Kanuma, Pumice and Lava Rock were straight out the bag, so sizes range from 1-6mm Small akadama is about 2mm Akadama is about 3-6mm Kyo-Dama is about 3-5mm Granite is 4mm Bigger...

Re: Group planting haworthia
Thanks Mat, the results aren’t too surprising when compared to each other, the only thing that did surprise me with mine was how long akadama held moisture. I’d never weighed pots before watering or anything like that. The akadama still has some moisture after 2 weeks without a fan on it, but it’s s...
