I've used a product called Clonex on an aeonium cutting recently and it rooted pretty quick.
I got it from amazon, the label says the active ingredient is 4-indol-3-ylbutyric acid.

Sempervivum ID
Can anyone kindly ID this sempervivum for me. A friend gave me a very small offset this summer. The top photo I took today, the bottom one is from mid-November, showing how much the cold weather has brought out some lovely colour!

Re: Echeveria carnicolor
Very nice flowers Andrew, and a pretty colour. Do you leave it outside all winter? Not sure yet! At the moment it won't fit into the cold frame anyhow due to the flower spikes. My back yard isn't big enough for a greenhouse unfortunately. Luckily have a very sheltered patio garden on south coast an...

Re: Echeveria carnicolor
It's good to be in flower. I find that there always seems to be an Echeveria giving colour in the greenhouse, they make a bright spot in the winter. I'm intrigued that yours is flowering now, mine usually flower in early spring. Hi Liz, that's partly why I posted the pictures. I thought it was odd ...

Sorry the order of those photos got scrambled! The middle photo was taken in August and the other 2 taken today.

Echeveria carnicolor
This plant, growing in a pot in my garden has just come into flower now in mid-November. The third image was taken in August - i wasn't sure if it was producing offsets or flower spikes, turned out to be the latter. Plant came labelled at Echeveria carnicolor f. etricina. Remote wireless thermometers
I want a remote sensor on the patio outside my back door so I know when to bring some of my more tender succulents into the kitchen overnight. Just had a quick look on amazon and there are quite a few of these devices, which has left me a bit confused. Some send the temperature back to a base unit, ...

Re: Green24 brand of fertilisers
The chempak I'm using (which is branded for cacti and succulent use) says, according to ingredients on the label, that it has both ureic and nitric N, so I guess this will be OK to use in 'poor' soils which may lack micro-organisms to convert
