Looks to me like a very bloted ferocactus herrerae.
Though could be latispinus as these are mass produced. would recommend a bright spot ,, be careful of scorch,,
And no more water. Possibly one drink before winters rest. Good luck

That name is very appropriate . Mine growing in the Polly tunnel sometimes look very dead. They don't seem to like it outside overwinter with me. Maybe to wet? They soon recover from looking brown and withered, in the spring. Growing well in shade. I think they might do well in the right dry shady s...

A side view, not very good pic, it doesn't photograph well.
I'm a bit of a euphorbia nut , so I like it.
Ralph, your plant is a giant so will sprawl a bit, I'll have to put up my next greenhouse, before mine gets that big, though I think I've got a bit of time :wink:
