Re: Log in problem to homepage

I certainly have a different email and password for the forum and main website. You don't have to be a member to login to the forum. I'm not sure how it happened, but you have to be able to login to the main website to pay your membership, so you don't have to be a paid up member as such. Hope that ...

Re: Sulcorebutia crispata seed germination

I contacted a few of the seed suppliers and as ye know those lads don't have time to answer random questions, but a couple did get back to me. They sow their seeds at the end of April, or beginning of May in the greenhouse with no additional heat. With the subtext, "They either come up or they ...

Re: Sulcorebutia crispata seed germination

From my 'extensive' research on the subject over the last week or so, there's a couple of pointers that might help germinate troublesome Sulcorebutias. The European growers tend to sow the seeds at the end of April and start of May with no additional heat. So you'd expect fluctuating night/day tempe...

Re: Sulcorebutia crispata seed germination

I was just looking at the monthly temperatures in Sucre, Bolivia where these plants grow and it rarely goes above 20-25 deg.C during the summer. Night time temperatures are lower alright. So I don't think upping the day time temperature over 25 deg.C is going to help me. I think the problem is that ...

Re: Updated seed lists

Another update, a few days ago the list of František Sibal from the Czech Republic was sent out. The list contains mostly Acanthocalycium, Lobivia, Mediolobivia, Weingartia and Sulcorebutia, but also some other Southern American species. Is František Sibal sending out a list this year? I got seeds ...

Re: Sulcorebutia crispata seed germination

There seems to be a few pages missing (invisible print). If anybody has the complete visible pdf I'd appreciate a copy. A pdf editor might be able to make the print visible again. I've extracted all the text into MS Word and re-saved as the attached pdf. You can now see the 'white on white' text eg...

It stands at.

Aylostera 38%
Echinocereus 30%
Sulcorebutia 11%
I just totted up my crispata seedlings for 2023, as this is the title of the thread.
It's only 4%.

Re: Sulcorebutia crispata seed germination

There's a pdf available on the SulcoPassion website that cross-references the Sulco field numbers. I'd seen it years ago, but had forgotten about it. Takes a bit of work but I generated the below from it. https://www.sulcopassion.be/pdf/3262_2011.pdf There seems to be a few pages missing (invisible ...
