They don't hang around for long. Most I had for subdenudata was about 16 hours.

Two similar names jumbled together here - purpureopilosus is a white-flowered (allegedly with purple hairs) candicans relative whereas purpureominiata is a purple-red-flowered plant close to Soehrensia grandiflora/crassicaulis. That's the problem with buying a very old plant .... with naff labels T...

Apricot Glow .... wow ... stunning.
Certainly agree ... some of the older hybrids have that ..... bit extra.
Also my limited exposure to hybrids and hybridization .... the older hybrids seem to provide more viable pollen and to accept pollen better .... but feel free to correct me.
