Re: Solufeed Ericaceous
Thanks Ralph. Do you know what sort of pH would be too low?

Re: Solufeed Ericaceous
No one? I tried a mix today and used some simple test strips to test primarily the pH. PXL_20210824_095341828.jpg The stick to the right is aged tap water without fertiliser. pH 7.5, GH 30-60, KH around 40 and no discernible nitrite or nitrate. Stick to the left is post fertiliser added as per instr...

Solufeed Ericaceous
Has anyone on here tried this before? I know some use (or at least used) Solufeed and some use Ericaceous fertiliser but wonder if anyone's combined the two? https://shopfront.solufeed.co.uk/ericaceous-plant-feed-1-kg-368-p.asp I find myself using more tap water so have bought a box to try and compa...

Re: Good news/bad news
Congratulations/commiserations! As I was born in '77, I hope the first of the schidigera I sowed last year doesn't take quite as long to flower!

Re: Pest ID please!
The SB stuff won't kill them instantly so I wouldn't worry about them crawling off. It seems really important to spray all the surfaces which is tricky with bigger, multi-headed plants.

Re: Patience
Good to know they can still root after so long. I have an Echinopsis pup that hasn't rooted still after buying it in February!

Re: Pest ID please!
I have sprayed repeatedly over the last few weeks with SB invigorator and also Ultra Bug Clear but doesn’t seem to be helping. Any ideas please? I agree with Wolfgang that they are mealies. I find I need to treat with SB consecutively on a number of days if I can see any mealies - one dose a fortni...

Re: Epiphyllum anguliger coming into bloom
Glad you posted - I thought I could see buds coming on mine today and thought they couldn't be as it was so long after the hybrids!
Enjoy the fruit!

Re: Favourite cacti genus?
I'd cheat and say Echinopsis as, depending on whose classification you go with, it seems to cover about half the cacti going and all my favourite hybrids! 'Rebutia' in the widest sense, would cover almost all the others I grow apart from some Opuntia!
