Re: Photologues cont. - Giza, Egypt

Other in-topic plants used quite keenly in landscaping were various (common I imagine) Aloes, Agaves, Euphorbia milii and palms, which shouldn't surprise. Photographs aren't of the greatest quality, but you can spot the plants for sure. 20240411_012953.jpg 20240405_150956.jpg 20240405_155508.jpg

Re: Photologues cont. - Giza, Egypt

Thanks Mat. Any insight as to why there are so few succulents? Hi Ralph, I somehow missed your question. I did not explore much, just did a little circle around the pyramids' complex finishing slightly "off piste" at the end. That is where I found that lonely Zygophyllum and actually quit...

Re: North West Cactus Mart 2024 (Saturday 4th May)

Slightly off topic, but what a poor idea to block simple right click copying from a website (was just going to check the exact location of the mart). Parking is very limited on the site ... but at the weekend the parking across the road outside the shopping mall (Tesco et al) is usually good and la...

Re: April 2024 - Bursting out of the pot

I am afraid I'm nowhere near, but just spotted this H. truncata 'Super Blue' (it's also nowhere near being blue...) in what used to be a square 5x5 cm pot. I'll leave it as is and see what happens over the next 20 days

I wish someone would be selling less than a tonne of it... Maybe it's time for a join order of Yorkstone?

Re: BCSS National Plant Fair - 10-11 August 2024

The main "announcement" thread is locked, so I'll let myself ask the question here. Hopefully the right people will see it. Would it be possible to add short "resumes" of the confirmed traders, what plants they specialise in etc.? I know some names, but others are new to me, and...
