How lovely to see some Lithops sheltering under an Opuntia - you see, Opuntias do have their uses after all!!

Note that their website does say that they "import bigger plants from South Africa" .......but from which source? Caudex plants; These plants are extremely well adapted to dry conditions and are grown at the nursery. [size=large]Bigger plants are imported from South Africa.[/size] The ' South Africa...

Puna (that were) are one of my favourite small opuntiads. Here's one of mine, has a more open petal structure than yours, Bill.

Suzanne,

I think the convention is biennial - I went to this year's, so the next one is in October 2011.

They hold a biennial general meeting and show in the alternate years, so this will be in October 2010 (no exact date yet).

Pleased you found a copy Peter - it was one of my favourite general books for years, and I still often refer to it. My copy cost £30 from Foyles Bookshop in London in January 1987!
