Re: David Kirkbright RIP

Very sad, having known David for all my years in the hobby, he will missed by all. I last bumped into David purely by chance in the Isles of Scilly, on two consecutive days on two different islands!

Aloe Gariepensis, Gariep was the old name for the Orange River.
Stuart
The broken label also says ISI 1248.
These were 4 year old plants when distributed, grown from seeds of Aloe gariepensis collected at the type locality, Marinka's Spring, near Warmbad, Namibia.

Re: Tax on eBay purchases from EU

If you are buying goods from a reputable seller and they are valued less than £135 then the seller should charge you the nett price only + UK VAT at 20%. it is then their responsibility to send that VAT to HMRC at tax year end. Re: Plant of the month photo plea.

Well volunteered, Chris! I have made this a Sticky. We should offer great thanks to Sheila Cude who has organised 'Plant of the Month' for many years, coercing authors to provide a picture or two and to describe the virtues of their particular plant, and to ensure a good variety of subjects. Thanks ...
