Eulychnia, a cactus only a mother could love........ I only have one and I can't get it going at all. Any advice? I've always treated mine just the same as my other cacti, a feed once a month or so in the summer with Chempak 8, and a minimum of about 5C in the winter. I think maybe cerei appreciate...

Beautiful Eulychnia Juster, my saint-pieana is only a 4yr seedling, but starting to look the part. Interesting thread because I now realize how few photos of my columns I have taken compared to the smaller cacti when they are flowering, so this summer I must get the camera out and put that right. This is quite a nice coloured one, E. frank reinelt, which is a hybrid of agavoides and colorata. I generally check the names on the International Crassulacea Network website, assume this would show which names are correctly registered?

Some lovely plants there Wayne. I think it's a bit of a mine field on e bay for plants, I don't blame you for grumbling! Definitely a case of 'buyer beware'.

It's good to see these lovely mature plants Peter. I wonder if columnar cacti are generally rather 'unfashionable' now, perhaps because of space limitations, it's rather a shame.
