Re: Degraft or not degraft
but the lowest price I've seen is circa £6.50/10 seeds, which is pretty eyewatering compared to most spp. Where are you seeing these for sale? that is about right compared to seed lists i have seen around europe. Several of the Czech cactus clubs have listed them for the last few years, though ofte...

Re: Abamectin in the UK?
I don't know about abamectin for thrips, but I have just started using it for mites and sprayed my 36ft polytunnel yesterday night. I'm registered as a trade seller so I think I didn't have issues getting it because of that, but it seems anyone can buy it on some sites.....e.g.: https://www.dejex.co...

Amazing plant Ralph! Well done.
I must have a go with these, but the lowest price I've seen is circa £6.50/10 seeds, which is pretty eyewatering compared to most spp.

Re: A venerable spegazzinii
Great photos, I love habitat shots, more please.
Weirdly I've always struggled with scorch on my spegs, which always surprises me when I see habitat shots. I find they require partial shading for the first few summers.

Re: Sulcorebutia season!
Very nice Diane. Do you have much of a problem with mites on them? I've started a collection of Sulcos a couple of times but the mites left me disheartened both times and I disposed of them. Not just you Nick, I struggle with Rsm on sulcos worse than any other group (perhaps excluding coryphantha)....

Re: Blossfeldia repotting
Thanks guys, really pleased with the progress of these ones, I have a batch a couple of years older that are flowering for the second time which is very pleasing. These ones have gone into fresh soil, I've added a bit more loam and tried to sieve out larger bits of litter/grit, as I find they dry ou...

Blossfeldia repotting
I really like blossfeldia, and want to be at a point in a couple of years where I can sell them in my web store regularly, I've never seen them for sale as ungrafted plants in this country. I've been sowing thousands of seeds of various 'species' (I think a strong term in this instance). Here are so...

Re: Succulent watering equipment
I have to water/feed/dose several thousand plants, and now have pump pressurized mains with this on the end (it requires fairly high pressure) allows feeding and dosing of insecticides over many plants extremely quickly. I.e. I can water maybe 8000 6cm pots in about 20 minutes. https://rover.ebay.co...
